The moon shone brightly high up in the sky, shining out between the misted river of stars that covered the heavens. This though could barely be seen through the intense darkness that was made by the thick covering of trees, so close together that their leaves and branches twined together, making it almost impossible to move through for any normal human but that was something Sky was not. She'd chosen as soon as her and Lawliet had arrived at the woods in her car that she would need to be in at least half human form so, she'd gone with her half cat and half human form. She hadn't shown Lawliet and had ordered him to only shine his torch at the ground. She'd shown him the basics from firing a gun but for this battle she'd only use claws and teeth. She'd learnt early in her life that creatures like those that normally occupied the woods were almost immune to gunfire but that didn't mean lawliet had to know that. The only thing he knew of her half form was that she had a tail and ears but for some reason he had just kept quiet.
Through the dense trees Sky moved in silence and grace, her bare feet gripping onto the thorny ground with ease, the pain something easy that she didn't even notice. Ever since she was five she'd learnt that pain was something you needed to bare and she'd tried to always copy her mother when it came to pain and keep her mouth shut and ever since she was eight, she'd known pain that anyone else would have died at just a quarter of her pain tolerance. She still wasn't sure how but over her life she'd been tested by everyone around her in both physical and mental pain and tonight, tonight was the first time lawliet would see why she was injured at school. Her ginger ears were pricked, alert for any sound that wasn't lawliet moving close behind. Her hands felt the bark on the trees, scanning from any form of claw marks that weren't her own four deep cuts against the bark, lined with blood and tree sap. Her claws dug into the soil, marking the trees as she moved through the trees, her eyes ajusted to the light, letting her see eaily through the night. 'Lawliet, you still with me?' She asked, her voice low and deep, still holding her traditional hyper cheeriness. She looked back for is torchlight, her ginger and white striped tail flicking from side to side behind her.
