The cafe was filled with a few students and adults on their lunch breaks and the whole cafe was filled with the sweet smells of coffee and tea.
Sky slipped into the cafe, a faint smile across her lips as she moved across to the counter, quickly placing an order before moving across to the two window corner couches, sitting her backpack down on the floor before sitting down.
Her mind was swimming as she relised how stupiud she must have looked when talking to Tom. Yeah she had liked him for ages but oday, he just seemed more relaxed than normal. It sort of slipped out but she didn't care, if anything she was relived.
Sky sighed as her coffee was brought over as she relaxed, watching the door for Tom. |

"Bloody freezing!" Tom walked nervously into the cafe and went to go and place an order just like Sky had done. Once he had done this he looked around, for a moment he couldn't see her and his heart sank, she'd stood him up...
Then he saw her, she was sitting by the window and looking out, her blonde hair fell over her shoulders and Tom's heart began to beat a little faster. He wallked over to her and sat on the opposite couch, he gave her a dazzling smile he only reserved for some "Hi" he said warmly pulling off his jacket.

Sky looked up at him, snapping out of her daydream to give him a warm grin. 'Hey, sorry, in my own world just then,' she said with a sigh, sitting up a bit to look at him. Sky brushed back her blonde hair over her shoulder and gave a soft sigh, sitting her mug down on the coffee table infront of them.
'Class alright then?' she asked, glancing at her backpack for a moment before back up at Tom. She would have to go and rummage through the TARDIS library for something new to read later, mabye something italian. |

Tom smiled at her "No worries" he said kindly "Happens to the best of us" well obviously...shut up brain! Jesus! his mind betrayed none of his thoughts, they only glowed happily as he watched the cold, harsh wind outside blow the bare trees till they almost touched the ground. He felt warm and happy, the smell of coffee overwhelming his senses.

Sky watched him for a moment before nodding thoughtfully. 'I should probably tell you why I got a bit upset reading that book before,' she sighed, reaching into her bag to pull out the old journal and sitting it on the table infront of her, her hzael eyes unmoving from Tom as she did so. |

Tom nodded "I wondered, but I didn't want to press" he explained, shocked by how hard thoe beautiful hazel eyes had turned; they really had changed in an instand, something to look out for in the future he noted. Everyone knew Sky was not the type to mess with nowadays, thoe who had had payed th price, Tom gave half smile, rememberingsome who had and had recieved at last a bruise for their trouble...or worse.

Sky glanced down at the book, nodding softly as she opened it. 'Mr Smith is my father, of course no one really knows apart from my boss and close family members, well, members.' she said softly, glancing up at tom as she flicked through the pages. 'This is a journal he kept from the day he met my mother till just after I was eight and it was just something he wrote about my grandmother that I didn't exactly know,' she said, moving to that same page again and pushing it towards tom, her brown eyes glittering with tears that she wiped away with ease.
'I know why I wasn't told, I wasn't in the best state to be told and I never truly asked about my greandparents.' |

Tom read it, his eyes gowing wide, he could almost eel the pain Sky's fathe wrote flowing on to te page through his untidy black scrawl. He moved carefully over to her couch and put his arm around her, expecting to be hit or pushd away but she looked so small, sad and vunerable it made his heart break. He didn't know much about her so he couldn't really understand what was going on in the book, only her grandmther was murdered and Sky was kidnapped, she must've been young too, to young to fully remember.

Sky glanced at him for a moment, giving a soft sigh as he moved over next to her. she put her head on his shoulderm unsure what to really think at that moment as she glanced out the window and into the blistering wind outside the small cafe. She blinked back tha tears slightly, trying to keep her thoughts from overcoming her like they had back at the library. |

Tom looked at her with concerned eyes, he rubbed her arm soothingly, sensing it was hard for her like this. If it had been him he would've done the same and there was no mistake, poor Sky, she was more trouble than he'd realised in the first place...poor Sky.

Sky gave a faint sigh, looking up at him, her hazel eyes soft and misted with tears. He was probably the only person she would ever lean on like this apart from her parents and Jack but they were different, they were her family, even Jack although not by blood.
Sky wasn't too sure why all of a sudden this had happened, after everything she had been through, why right now with Tom. She had always just felt so comfortable around him, even after everyone she had met. |

Tom's arm went from her shoulder and pulled her into a proper hug as the other arm went around her as well, he felt so bad seeing her like this, it was a side he'd never imagined in confident, brave Sky with (by the sounds of it) a rather amazing family that...possibly, traveled in time? No impossible, he turned his attention back to Sky and waited for some kind of response from her.

Sky gave a small gulp, pulling back slightly and wiping her eyes with a small half smile. 'Sorry, everything just seems to be getting the better of me today,' she said with a small embarressed laug, picking up her drink and taking a small slip, closing her eyes for a moment as she attempted to clear her mind a bit. |

Alex watched her carefully as she pulled away, then he put a finger up her chin and turned her head to face him, saying softly "Hey, you can lean on me OK" with his other hand he brushed away her hair that had fallen in her face "It's normal for you to feel like this but others would be" he smiled gently at the thought "More prenouncd in their feelings and grief" his soft blue eyes never left her brown ones, not allowing her to turn away and break the channel of energy flowing between them.

Sky looked deep into his eyes, lamost lossing it completely as she looked at him. He just seemed to understand, even if nothing had ever happened to him personality but everything that Tom did seemed to comfort her. It was then she realised deep inside that is wasn't just a small crush she had on him, he was just everything she had always wished for. She loved him but right now, wasn't going to go blabing it out. |
